From its beginning, the founding members of Canadian Litigation Counsel cast their vision beyond their own borders and identified business trends indicating that provincial, national and international borders would continue to disappear. As globalization gained momentum, CLC’s members recognized the movement toward significant changes in how lawyers and their clients work together.

Going forward, CLC is strategically positioned to fully respond to the evolving needs of the client base of its affiliated firms by providing co-ordinated, seamless, top-quality legal services on an increasingly global scale. In order to achieve these goals, CLC will continue to develop its technology, and establish worldwide links to service regional, national and international clientele of its affiliated firms.

CLC’s members also realize that the cornerstones of CLC’s success have been, and must continue to be, its regional focus through its affiliated firms, its national network of top quality advocats and their dedication to serving their clientele.

As an industry leader, CLC is constantly challenging its members to push the envelope outward with new ideas, specifically geared to better serving its clients needs by improving the delivery of legal services regionally, nationally and internationally. This vision is at the core of CLC and will propel it into the future.

Mission Statement

The independent law firms comprising Canadian Litigation Counsel will provide superior advocacy/litigation services to meet the needs of all sectors of the insurance industry and other public and private institutions on a regional and national basis.

To achieve success in this mission, the affiliated firms of CLC are dedicated to:

Providing top quality legal services by experienced, highly-qualified lawyers who have well-earned reputations and the respect of their peers, the Courts and their clients
Providing cost-effective, timely and consistent service on a regional and national basis;
Optimizing the use of advanced technology to increase efficiency, to provide for regular and open communications with the clients and to ensure ongoing flexible and cutting edge legal services to clients; and,
Providing unified and consistent litigation strategies, thereby avoiding conflicting positions in different jurisdictions.
